JAVIER CHAVANEL (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 11/20/1983) is a screenwriter, writer and director. His previous short film SONRISAS (SMILES, 2019) obtained 171 selections and 37 awards, and was winner of the Silver Méliès at Abertoir Horror Festival. He has published two horror books "Cada Monstruo con su tema" and "Apps -the short film Nap is based on this book- and in addition, in 2024 he will publish his new novel. He has also been a director in TV series and is currently a scriptwriter in animated series.
